they do some good nights some times, however it has a very low sealing and is too dark for my liking.

plastic people is a tiny gem in the heart of old street. it does open until 3 on the weekends, but it also open some sundays and for special events during the week.
buzzin' fly enjoys a great and loyal crowd, although it takes place on a sunday. you get people talking about it.
i turn up twice, to kompakt events. they were on wednesdays, but were crowded enough. to my surprise, the promoters brought michael mayer and superpitcher playing together as superpitcher before even fabric invited them over. the next week... donacha costello, awesome.
what i did love of that place was the honesty. no fluff or frills, plastic people is only interested in the music they bring and that;s that, which is cool.
it doesn't sound too bad, maybe thanks to the size of the place, which rather adds up to its allure.

The dubstep night "Forward" on fridays is worth checking out if you like that sort of warped but strangely danceable beats (I like to think of it as a jungle vinyl warped on a radiator playing in a coma patients dream), can get super-cramped especially since "dubstep" keeps getting even more and more fashionable...

Hmmm... it's Sunday, you're hungover and tired from the night before and generally feel a bit shit, and tomorrow it's Monday and you have to go back to work. So what are you going to do? I'll tell you what you should do - get your socks on and go clubbing!

The Buzzin' Fly event with djs Ben Watt and Rocco has been happening in Plastic People every first Sunday of the month for a while now. It's getting so popular that they have decided to make it a Saturday night event at the End instead. Great news in one way, but a pity in another way, but hopefully they'll find a new Sunday night event for Plastic People!

Plastic People is a fantastic little club, I'll definitely be coming here again. It's very small and makes for a rather different and intimate clubbing experience. There dancefloor is just one little roomo with the dj decks on one end - you can dance right next to the djs which is great! The ceiling is rather low, if you jump up and down and wave your hands in the air you'll easily reach it. So yeah, it's a bit claustrophobic, but in a good way. There are speakers on all sides of the little room so the sound can be really intense. But if it gets a bit much you can just retreat to the bar area for a while, where the music is a lot less loud.

I highly recommend going clubbing on a Sunday. It's a lot more chilled and less frantic than on a Friday or Saturday night, and the people who show up are really only there for the music - hard-core deep house fans who are just loving it. This makes for an absolutely fantastic atmosphere - it was like a big happy family bopping around on the dance floor. The only downside is getting up on the Monday... Jumping up and down on a concrete floor for five hours takes its toll!
