Just had dinner in the beachcomber had been a couple of times before and the food was pretty good had the paella today it was not very good swimming in oil. When asked what I thought of the food I told them they were quite argumentative saying that’s how they cook it will not be returning

Very poor quality food, wouldn't allow us to sit where we wanted and service was very poor (10% service charge is added to your bill). One for tourists only, if this place was in a local community it wouldn't survive very long at all. Upon paying the bill she asked if everything was ok and then argued with me that post mix cola was standard in restaurants in London! Which was £2.42 for a small glass that tasted of water. Maybe this is the best Greenwich has to offer, I don't know, despite being a Londoner, I have avoided Greenwich for reasons like this for the past 15 years. I might visit again in 2037 to see the further decline!

Visited Bank Holiday Monday, the place was very busy and the staff that I dealt with were nice. However, the food was below par and there is an automatic service chanrge of 10%. Tap water is charged at 50p per glass (55p after the 10% leading). I have seen less compimentary reviews on other websites, and I would agree with them that the food is of poor quality, badly cooked. The table close to me were voiciferous in their dismay at the (small) portions of fish inside the batter.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!! Great friendly staff, clean inside, good prices and mouth-watering food. The seafood pasta in cream sauce makes me dribble just thinking about it!!!

Superb family run restaurant in Greenwich village. I think this restaurant is a hidden gem. Visited it last weekend after strolling around Greenwich. The restaurant has an immense menu filled with all different types of fish dishes.

I tried the maryland fish cakes and loved them. My friends finished their plates which had classic British cod and chips. The portion sizes are huge here so don't over order and definitely save your appetite if you intend to visit here.

I would definitely visit this place again as it would beat any chain restaurant on quality and enjoyment of a classic restaurant experience.

I've just left Beachcomber (what a great name) and had an amazing meal for the following reasons:

1) the scallops with bacon and spinach were, I have to say, outstanding.

2) calamari, prawns and scampi dipper was great too.

3) the Dover sole with prawns and mornay sauce along with the steak and half a lobster was fantastic.

4) the pistachio ice cream I have to say, was stunning.. The best tasting ice cream i've ever tried..

5) my banana split finished me off

6) the staff were very attentive and friendly

I will definately be returning.
