This department store is fantastic – like the Edinburgh version of House of Fraser or Selfridges. Lots of great top end brands and ranges in loads of great designer fashion and cosmetics, aftershave etc. Went during the mid-xmas sale and got some good deals however one thing they do need to improve is one the layout as so mish-mash in menswear, and the staff were very unhelpful when I asked where the higher-end brands were they basicly ignored me.

Fantastic olde-worlde store, now sadly owned by House of Fraser's.

Jenners is lovely and has a lot of character. The outside of the building is stunning and once you're inside, the layout and stairways make it feel like an old department store with new products. Some of their ranges can be a little pricey but it is good for a browse and an ideal place for present buying!

A classy department store. I always find myself in the makeup and perfume counters either buying or just having a test of what they have that is tempting. Just a stone's throw away from Harvey Nicks if I get tired and need a change. The ladies at the counters are all nice. The outside view of the building is AMAZING!!!!

Jenners is a traditional Edinburgh institution but I think its crown may be slipping due to rival Harvey Nics. I wouldn't shop here myself, but it's worth a visit- especially at christmas.

Great place if you are out shopping and want to get everything in one store or just for a browse to kill off a bit of time. Store has everything from knife and forks to wedding dresses , situated on Princess St across from Waverley train station , has a cafe for a brew and sandwich as well. Not the cheapest place but then again you wouldn't expect it to be given location and building it's in.

After visiting upmarket stores in London like Selfridges and Harrods, Jenners doesn't really seem that special. Not that I'd be able to afford shopping there anyway but I do like the indulge in the 'if I had a million pounds' game and just look at pretty things. Jenners doesn't seem to do as unique, interesting stuff as stores like this. On the up side it does mean I'm able to buy certain items. One Christmas I bought my mum a beautiful Charles Rennie Mackintosh earing and necklace set at a rather decent price. I do love their jewellery section and dream over buying some swarkovski crystal ornaments. The store is pretty old and the interior is very attractive. You should also check out the great Christmas tree and window displays around the holiday season. The store is also rather big and I have memories of being lost in here when I was 10 looking for a toilet (!) Another thing I must note is the fantastic hamlets toy store downstairs. Great for kids and grown up kids.

From the outside it’s architecture is saying a lot, and for those of you into Victorian/Edwardian architecture it’s a gem to visit. Like Harrods in London it’s a place to visit if you are in Edinburgh even if it is just to stock up on shortbread and Edinburgh rock for work colleagues. Service is friendly and the food hall (small) worth a visit.

One of my favourite places to shop, particularly if I’m just browsing as you can waltz through from section to section of this warm, charming department store, then pop into the café for a chat with some friends. The staff are all lovely and the merchandise is high quality. The yearly Christmas display is always breathtakingly gorgeous and this is the sort of place you can go with both your friends and your Granny and never feel out of place : )

Beautiful old building which hasn’t lost its mystique even though it has now been taken over by House of Fraser. I love spending time wandering around the store not looking for any in particular but perhaps dreaming about being able to afford the extravagance you are surrounded by. Christmas in Jenners is amazing with the huge Christmas tree spanning all the floors. This is one of my first memories of this store.

This department store called Jenners in Edinburgh is a very nice cosy looking department store. They sell products from kitchenware to clothing and the clothes are stylish and comfortable for the eye. There is a very nice coffee shop so after a hot sunny day, going there to get a bite to eat is very lovely. The store is situated on Princes Street on the high stree and they kept the exterior building design the same it use to look like. Its a great place to shop and visit if you need to get something for the family or friends.

Jenners is a wonderful old building situated on Princes Street in Edinburgh. It spans many floors and can be a bit difficult to find your way around if you dont know it well. In recent years it has been taken over by House of Fraser and has changed quite a bit. It is a great department store with a good selection of clothes for all ages, food department, kitchen department, gifts and furniture. There is also a Clarins spa, hairdressers and restaurants and coffee bars. Its a really nice place to look around and I’m sure you will be tempted to buy something.

The Iconic store of edinburgh, they carry everything and recently have started selling some pretty cool men’s clothing. Who would have thunk it? a few years ago it was mostly mens dressy attire, now they carry some of my favs including Paul Smith, SuperDry, and Ted Baker

As described by another qype reviewer- Jenner s is the Harrods of Edinburgh!
Recently taken over by House of Fraser the historic Jenner s building still looks as enchanting from the outside but has been modernised inside which to my mind takes away from its charm and character…
Everything you need under one roof - toy department is fab!
