I went to this beautician and had a half leg wax and hollywood and was very pleased with the result. The salon is fairly small and although it is not really plush, it is clean and comfortable. The south african lady was extremely friendly and she made me feel very at ease. And she did all the waxing really fast which was great. The prices are alot cheaper than other places in central London along with the service being of a very high quiality. I will 100% be going back there as soon as i need to and recommend it to anyone needing a wax.

Beauty Above is perhaps the worst beauty boutique I have been to in London. It is a great disappointment for me, as I used to go there before and quite like the atmosphere and the service of the previous girls.

However, the girl who is doing waxing and facial services now (15 February 2008) should either go back to training or change her profession. She is from South Africa, which usually suggests nice and friendly people. Not this time. She was rude and arrogant, she made a big mistake when “shaping” my eyebrows and did not even apologized for that. She did not do what she was asked, but what she was ‘trained’ to do…This was her arrogant explanation.

I had to go to a professional beautician, afterwards, to correct the mess she made. With her negligence, absolute lack of competence and skills she put me in a lot of stress, as I had an important event coming on the next day.

Think twice before you do eyebrows, or anything else with this particular girl at this place.

I hope the owner of Beauty Above, or whoever her boss is, will read this and perhaps reconsider the quality of his service.

I went to this beautician for some waxing. Initally when I walked in I thought it looked a little shady and cramped. However, once in the relaxing and clean room of the beautician I was reasonably impressed. My beautician was chatty and friendly but more important ridiculously quick! Which in turn I was thankful for as it meant less pain. I wouldn't say this is the most glamorous of salons but if your after a quick wax or maybe a manicure at a very affordable rate then I would recommend you give Beauty Above a try.
