Been eating here on occasion for the last year and it’s been consistently good.
I like the simple interior, the banquettes, the open kitchen, the friendly service and the ipod shuffler. The burger is fine. Not incredible, not terrible. I might come again sometime. But the burger world did not move for me.
This is my favorite burger joint in Friedrischain. The service is fast, the burgers are very tasty and the place is clean. The chefs are handsome and super nice.
I recommend the Kinda Cheese and Cheesy Cheese burgers. All are great though! The coleslaw is the best I've had in Berlin. I like their selections of beverage too like the picture of the cola I uploaded.
Well, I'll admit it, I'm american and I eat burgers. I'm a recovering burger eater. Kidding, of course. I tried this place after a friend suggested it to me. Well, what do you know... It was good, right down to the special sauce! I'm sure there a lot of you who just pass by this place every night coming off the s-bahn and haven't stopped in yet. Go ahead, the sound of the sizzling burger shouldn't stop you. The fries are tasty. The people behind the counter are friendly. And the booths are comfortable.
what do we have here? fresh meat? great prices? drip coffee?
i've been to every famous fast food burger joint in berlin except for marienburger (will get there eventually). this new burger joint surpasses all of them.
note: i do draw a distinction between fast food burger and restaurant burger.
so what's not to like? i can only find 2 things really. 1) the cheeseburger was listed as having cheddar cheese, but they are clearly using american cheese. i'm okay with that, just don't call it cheddar because it's not even close. 2) if you have an aversion to fluorescent lighting, you may want to steer clear of this place. while i actually love the design of this place (stainless steel open kitchen, cute "jukebox" with housed ipod), the office-style fluorescent lighting which looks nice from the outside is actually too much when you're sitting underneath it in a booth.
i mentioned drip coffee not because it's good, but because it offers some american authenticity to the place. the burger itself was very juicy and quite large for the price. you can get a cheeseburger and pommes for 4,60 euro. in the USA this would be an average greasy spoon/diner burger, but in berlin this is really much better than all fast food burger joints i've been to. you can tell these guys are really trying.
you can substitute bio meat for 1 euro extra (will try next time) and they have 2 kinds of veggie burgers.
another new and welcome addition to the neighborhood!
If you’re like and hate seeing the chef getting the burgers out of the freezer when you order this is the place for you. The meat is fresh as well as the other ingredients of course.
In short the burgers are cheap, fresh, delicious and the service is nice and friendly. If it’s important to have a huge selection of burgers I would recommend going to Burger Amt or Frittiersalon…but I still think this place has better burgers.
If you’re not very hungy I can also recommend the “Kinda Börga” and “Kinda Cheese” which are intended for children but also perfect if you’re not very hungry.
