been a while since we hit this joint, back in the days when Välimäki was consulting chef on the menu, so can't vouch for current output. the place was hopping when we went, and we could have been in Manhattan, given the pouting, dress to impress crowd with a smattering of local celebrities. decent (if weak, as all are given tiny official measures in Finland) cocktails started the evening, and we went for a small dish selection tasting menu. some were more successful than others, but on the whole, all interesting, well presented and prepared, and well worth tucking in to. after dinner we headed upstairs to the lounge for drinks a la DJ. continuation of the scene downstairs, with people settling in for a long evening, and more scenesters arriving as we left.
