The White Horse

This is a lovely old low ceilinged pub, Charming place for a pint and, while a Fullers pub, there does seem to some ale choice beyond the staples.

I've been told this pub used to be much much better some years ago, but if you ask me it is still pretty good right now!

Love a place with a bit of history to it.

Cosy oldy worldy pub, excellent range of real ales - all of Fullers plus 2 or 3 guests. Small garden.

If you are near Hertford and you like your real ale, this is the place to go.
It’s quite cramped inside with two small bars - the building dates back to 16th Century.
The left hand bar is for regulars - I liked it as I used to work in there, and was also a regular - some people thought it was quite unfriendly if you weren’t known. The right hand side was known as the other bar.
Don’t let this put you off - it’s only banter!
Beer is fullers plus loads of guest beers, regularly rotated.
Lots of CAMRA types visit regularly in their jumpers and cords.
