Compliment

This used to be one of my local offies. For a while I had it in my mind that the shop was called 'Fine Wines', something that always caused roars of laughter from my flatmates. And of course there is nothing fine about the wines on sale here. I remember once being tempted by this discount offer on an already suspiciously cheap wine - 2.69 a bottle or whatever it was. well, if you bought 4 bottles you'd get them for even cheaper. Of course I couldn't resist. And of course the wine was absolutely revolting, vile stuff – I suspect it consisted of a mixture of dregs from the left over bottles after a house party. In general, their selection of wines is eccentric at best, but luckily they have a more normal range of beers. And also some spirits, so you'll be alright.
The selection of food in here is not great. I’d expect them to at least do all the major Indian spices, but no. You’ll find staple food items here, such as cheese, filled pasta, yoghurt, milk, orange juice etc, and some fruit and veg, but it's not particularly cheap. Yeah, unless you’re desperate you’re probably better off wandering down to the tiny Tesco at the petrol station another 100 meters down the road.
The photo is a bit crap but I feel it reflects the quality of the shop.
