L'antica Pizzeria Da Michele, Naples

Great crunchy base and quick service. The tomatoe sauce was a bit too wet, made the pizza soggy. There were nt enough of cheese. Definitely go for the extra cheese.

Best pizza I had in my whole life. And I eat a lot!
Prices are quite low.

The place is always full with locals and tourists, so you have to wait a little and draw a number. But it is worth every second

Pizza is made by an +-80 year old guy. His family owns the place since 1870.

Also Neapolitan friends went with me. (And they know, what good pizza tastes like)

For me, the best pizza I have ever tried!
Also a very cult location in the heart of Naples, maybe you'll have to wait, 30, 40 minute, but it is really worth waiting.
The Pizza Margherita is the best I have ever tried!!!

Arguably the greatest pizzeria in the world, L'Antica pizzeria da Michele is a must see destination. I had such a wonderful experience here on my last visit (sadly, I've only been twice) I just had to blog about it. It just doesn't get much better than enjoying a massive Margherita with doppia mozzarella (for only €5!!!) and a cold Nastro Azzurro on a Saturday afternoon with good friends. I can't even fathom how satisfying life must be living close enough to da Michele to pop in for take away. PIZZA!
