I really like the Living Room. It’s a bit off the beaten track in terms of being just off upper street in Angel, it’s quite spacious looking, comfortable seating when not packed, bit of an older crowd (say late 20’s, 30’s+), standard prices on the menus which offer a nicely varied selection to cover most tastes & tastefully furnished. You could quite easily meet up with friends here for a big night of drinking on the weekends, or for a meal during the day, a quieter catch up chat with a mate on a weeknight, a first date or take your parents here. Pretty much seems to cover all bases.

The Living Room Islington is a must whenever I pop into the big city. Great food & fantastic service topped off with the best cocktails in this part of town (I was served by a guy called Ben last time I was there who was both extremely entertaining & very good looking!)

The bar is lively with a great buzz, with lots of seating and booths for groups. There are lots of other bars in the close vicinity but The Living Room always seems to deliver. It can get very busy on a Friday and Saturday night but it never feels claustrophobic. The bar has a very impressive cocktail list with reasonably priced drinks, although sometimes it can take a while to get served. There is a very lush private bar area downstairs that can be hired for events that is also very nice (my friend hired it for her birthday). The restaurant is not bad but the bar is the star of the visit so I would recommend the yummy cooked bar snacks instead. They often play live music here too.
