that is totally untrue. you came in asking for a piercing, when we said you needed id, you became defensive about your age, we then offered to book you in later on in the day or on an other and offered you a 10% discount as a gesture of good will.

First impressions of this piercing studio are not good. You are guided by a sign up a dingy old dirty looking steep staircase to the front desk. The place looks gloomy with a huge cold metal chair. My first impressions where not very good at this point however i heard so any good things about them that i decided to continue anyway.
The blond lady I mentioned early spoke with a soft voice, asked to see my I.D. and then then gave me information about aftercare and asked me to declare and sign that I was not pregnant, suffering from diabetes, had eaten in the last 2 hours etc. Then she led my upstairs and very calmly explained exactly what she was going to do. The procedure was quick with minimal pain (i had my tongue pierced at another place which was much slower and putting in the jewelery took much longer there that here) She explained what i needed to do next and assure me It was fine. The lady also told me if i was have any query or trouble, to come straight back in and speak to someone.
Another man who also pierced my ear was of a similar friendly nature. They were very welcoming and extremely professional. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you're scared of pain and need that little extra care and reassurance.

Julie was very careful and the piercing itself hurt less than biting your tongue. They told me to drop in or ring up if I had any questions, and I fully intend to come back if I want anything else done, even if it means travelling from Brighton. Their expertise is worth it.
I would recommend Cold Steel to anyone, as they were far better than any other piercing studio I've ever been to. A few comments seem to have indicated that the guy behind the counter was 'rude' or 'mean.' I can't disagree with that more, he was purely professional and dedicated to doing his job.
Thank you very much for a great experience!

This is the first I have heard of a 10% discount offer, and to treat a potential customer with such an attitude was (in my opinion) completely out of line. When complimenting you on a great pitch you quite bluntly said “it wasn’t a pitch.” and at no point did I become “defensive about my age” I simply offered what I thought might have been some form of ID, which you then declined quite rudely, patronising and belittling a customer.

I completely agree with Maddieb123, the man who I spoke to when I went in was condescending and rude. Which is such a shame because the woman who did my piercing was lovely. This place does not care about how they treat their customers. Customer service is appalling at the front desk. I had my nose pierced here 7 months ago and it still hasn’t healed, it developed what they called a ‘granuloma’ little did they know my partner is a dermatologist, him and his practice partners diagnosed it as a keloid (which is permanent).
If you want to go somewhere where they talk to you like you are an idiot and where they don’t seem to know what advice to give you apart from soaking your piercing in salt soaks twice a day rather than seeking medical attention then please go to Cold Steel.
If you want to go somewhere where they talk to you like a human being and care about your well being AVOID COLD STEEL.
Pain wasn't anything like what I had expected; I felt a pinch and then pressure and heard a crunch and that was it! I genuinely did not feel the earring being put in!
I felt in complete safe hands as they are not crazy on sticking needles in you, they will turn you away if needed or if you personally aren't ready for the piercing you want. THEY DO NOT USE GUNS, which made me feel completely at peace as guns are not sterile. Julie was amazing she made me feel completely at home which made this process a whole lot easier. They even ask you to come in a few weeks later to check up on your piercing! And all i can say is Thank You and I will be back soon ;)
For those who would like to know; 15 quid per ear on lobe piercings and my tragus was 24 pounds (both with jewellery)
Yazmine :)

Was the guy behind the desk rude, I have been hearing comments. Also I know that this is a Cold Steel review place I just want to know if anyone has been to Evil From the Needle and if it is better there than here because I can’t find any information about it, just that its the best place there in Camden for tattoos and piercings! All in all my actual piercing experience was great the lady was lovely
BUT
Both guys who work there are very unsympathetic and make you feel like an idiot for being concerned about your body. The only reason my rating is so high is for the lady. If it was down to the two guys it would be a 1.

I had a similar experience with the man there, he was very belittling and made me feel very uncomfortable and stupid. I haven’t met the lady, which is unfortunate because she sounds lovely from all these reviews. But I completely agree with you on the attitude front!
Ps... One thing to note... If you've never visited Camden before please keep half a day spare for your visit to Cold Steel because you will LOVE the surrounding shops, Markets, Bazaars etc. I've been to London over 100 times but have never been to such a great place as Camden. You'll see for yourself.
