My romance with Marcos started few years ago. I was looking for truly genuine Italian place in Bristol as I love Italian cuisine, who doesn't.
That was it. BINGO! Little treasure just off Baldwin St. and it is a lot bigger than it appears.
It is a family business run by Giuseppe who moved to England 26 years ago.

The great thing about this place is the atmosphere; it doesn't matter if you're a first time there or you're one of the regulars, you'll be welcomed as an old good friend.

Marcos is the essence of a traditional Italian restaurant. The extensive menu provides something special for everyone. I mean everyone because the wide vegetarian options are really gorgeous, worth to look at even if you're meat eater.

Daily specials are really special. Simply, because Marcos offers you the best produce available at the day, and the board is presented at your table with explanations and/or recommendations.

I had one of the most fantastic veal which was beautifully cooked in red wine with parma ham and sage. Truly delightful dish. All dishes are accompanied by vegetables and potatoes. For dessert I recommend something to die for: white chocolate cake- 7th heaven!
