located in the heart of Chelsea, the anglesea arms is where you want to meet up with your friends. It is a cosy little pub in a residential area and has a good range of beer and a nice choice of wines. it is not very big but you can always hope to get a table; the food is nice, the name gastro-pub being maybe a bit presomptious but it is not too expensive and always goes along well with the beers. the staff is friendly and chat nicely with you if it is not too busy.
although this little pub is truly charming, its best quality is the heated garden outside. smokers all go there. there are plenty of tables outside the pub includinf hidden-away tables for two if you want a bit of intimacy. it is also covered as it is convenient in this beautiful country blesses by the rain 300 days a year.
it is also quite close from south kensington tube station so it is easy to find it and to go back when the beer starts spinning your head around. and u'll find plenty of kebabs or nice food on your way back.
and don't be scared, as it is located in chelsea, there is not much risk that you will get agressed when you leave.

The Anglesea Arms has a warm, friendly feel. The ground floor is a fairly small, dark oak furnished room, where you can enjoy loads of real ale and nice wines, as well as everything you would expect. Downstairs is the restaurant, it looks very comfortable (I have not eaten here and would be keen to read a review!) They boast a fresh á la carte menu, that changes daily.

The beer garden looks onto a road, so is not much to write home about.

The pub has real character and, being South Kensington, a fair number of French people. There are screens to watch sport (perhaps the reason I like this place so much is I watched England beat France in the World Cup here).
