When you want a foodie treat and you're in need of inspiration this shop is worth investigation. It's the epitomy of a try-before-you-buy emporium with small tastes of almost everything they stock.
It's on the up-market side and prices reflect this but you're unlikely to be disappointed. The choice of olive oils is impressive: a myriad selection of plain and flavoured varieties. The same goes for the olives.
There is a lesser choice of cheeses but they come mostly from a renowned specialist supplier, Paxton and Whitfield, so they're highly reliable. One of the more unusual offerings are leaf-wrapped balls of Italian baked figs, deeply delicious on their own, or as an unusual cheese accompaniment.
