The Sun is a pub that also has a Thai restaurant. The restaurant part has been fairly empty the times that I've been there but having eaten there I'm nor sure why it's not too popular with the locals. Possibly because it is a Thai restaurant in a predominantly Indian area - in fact I think it's the only option near Hounslow High Street if you want to eat something that isn't Indian curry or pub food. Anyway, I digress. The decor of this restaurant is non-existent and it has a curiously sparse layout. The food however is surprisingly good and the service is cheerful and friendly. The beer garden also looks very attractive and they serve food there as well. The red and green Thai curries are really good and so are the soups and starters. The only problem is given the ambience and the smallish portion sizes, it is slightly expensive for the area. But you could do much worse if you're shopping on Hounslow high street and fancy something other than a curry.
