mmmm...i work nearby and it's ok....think others are better - what I do like is the size though - can you get larger in London?

Because of this proximity to the British Museum this area is a little bit crammed with cafe and restaurants that set out to attract the tourist trade, and a lot of the time that means you pay more for rubbish service and second rate food.

Not at Eve's though.

Eve's is a genuine, old school, London cafe, where you're guaranteed a good cup of tea or coffee and a tasty meal at a decent price.

I've had their omelet and chips before and it's been fantastic, but last time I went was in December and I just had to go for the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce toasted ciabatta sandwich which completely hit the spot.

If you're in this area and your stomach's rumbling, make a bee line for Eve's you won't regret it.

I stumbled into this place yesterday at 2.30pm haven only eaten 3 grapes and half an apple. Man, i was hungry. The turkey & stuffing sandwich was awesome. It came within 5 minutes, the portion size was great and the girl that served us was very nice. This may look like a bit of a greasy spoon, but the food here is top notch and the location is killer.

Perhaps it was circumstantial. Maybe i was just swept up in the moment; but i think Eve's turkey, cranberry & stuffing on Ciabatta ranks in my top 10 sandwiches i have ever eaten. Hmmmm..... now there's an idea for a Qype list.
