Very small i.e. intimate cocktail bar, filled with people who all seem to know one another. However, you’re never made to feel unwelcome by the friendly and hospitable staff, and the cocktails are the best in the area.

Due to it’s small size, best to visit for one cocktail before moving on.

It’s refreshing to see that places like this can exist in the monotony that is Islington.

Not only is there a log fire, there is mulled wine which is always nice at this time of year! I love this place. It's really cosy, good value thai food and an impressive selection of cocktails and wine. A stones throw from Upper St but has a completely different feel. Get there early evening if you're with a big group as space is limited!

This place is very different to my usual haunts in Clapham. A refreshing change from the coach & horses esq. pubs out there. Decor wise, they are going for a turkish/moroccan neoclassic look with a few comfy pub touches. we managed to score a seat by the fire which was fantastic. The food was excellent value - I had a chicken Massaman curry which came to £5.50. It was delicious and i will remember the "dump your rice in the curry bowl" tactic from now on. The beer was good, but not fantastic. You're definitely not going to find any real ale in here and pint of Kronenburg will set you back about £3.50. Cocktails were excellent and there seemed to be quite a decent choice. Ordinarily i'm not a Whisky Sours man, but as they had run out of mint i decided to give it a go and i was pleasantly surprised. Excellent service and friendly bar staff.

Highly recommended if you are in the upper street area for food or drinks.
