Great food, nice decor, friendly staff, good prices. I had their famous jerk chicken a couple days ago but had to get it for takeaway as i was in a rush. I really liked the stylish yet laid-back ambience that Mr. Jerk created here after seeing the need for good Caribbean food in central London so I’m sure I’ll be back for a sitdown soon.

The jerk is so popular here that by dinner service they often run out of it and some of the eager patrons end up (still happily) settling for other traditional Caribbean/Jamaican dishes. After casually speaking to one of the staff behind the bar and before realizing that it was Mr. Jerk himself it was already clear that they take real pride in the food and service that they offer, and I was already pleased that I popped in even before I got to eating. And that, of course, just made it even better and garnered it my full 5 stars.

Fantastic West Indian food! Great service, great west indian feel. The reggae/soca music plays while you eat. Tables are like beach benches. The general feel of the place is really nice. It's quite hard to find but is just on the right of wardour street...just a little way down. It's different there because its not just fastfood you can actually sit down, socialise and relax! A wide variety of spiced meats at abou 5.50 onwards...so it's very reasonable and your plate is always filled! Definately a must - dine - at!

Mr Jerk is a bit of an institution in eclectic Soho. Serving the best Jerk Chicken that Ive tasted outside of Notting Hill Carnival (and believe me, Ive searched!) this place is unmissable if you love Jamaican cooking.

Set in an informal yet smart restaurant, tables are always busy and bustling. Staff are friendly and attentive while Reggae plays out of the soundsystem. But most importantly, the food is top drawer. Portions are huge and the Jerk Chicken is perfectly succulent, spicy and meaty. The sauce is distinctive, fresh and packs a punch. Accompanying it is a an array of Carribean sides such as yam, fried plaintain or peas'n'rice - all delicious and side-bustingly generous.

Add this to your essential London melting-pot restaurants list.
