The reason we chose this school was because we felt it was a nurturing and caring environment and that has turned out to be entirely true. In fact this school changed our son from the boy who hated school and didn't want to get dressed in the morning to the boy who loves school so much he sometimes forgets to say goodbye, in his rush to get in.
The class sizes are very small, and the standard of teaching is very high.
Mrs Woolf, the headteacher has a wonderful way with, and understanding of children and nothing has been too much trouble.
Our son will be going to Denmead this year. Other children in his class are going to Newland House, The Mall, St Catherine's, Lady Eleanor Holles and Bridgidine.
The best thing we have ever done as parents, is to send our son to this school.

Athelstan House School is an average school, and I wouldn't recommend sending you child there if you want to be able to express any opinions or suggestions about your child education. The head of the school is quite unpleasant to deal with if your opinion differs from hers. Children seem to be reasonable happy at school, but parents don't feel welcome.

We found Athelstan House School by pure chance - discreetly situated in Hampton. Our daughter started when she was just turning three. From day one she loved it. There is a strong family atmosphere which we felt was really important at such a young age. She is now in year 1 and we are very happy to say still loves going to school everyday. The classes are small with a teacher and two assistants so we feel confident she will develop to her full potential. The teachers have a strong belief in what they do, a great school, a lovely learning environment!
