I ordered oak skirting from British Hardwoods and was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable prices. I was even more pleasantly surprised when the skirting arrived quickly and proved to be of excellent quality. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone - I could not have been more satisfied with their service. Well done!

I ordered 2 different sizes of the walnut Skirting, both arrived exceedingly quickly and the quality is second to none. 20+ meters with hardly a knot in sight and all lengths, even the longer ones were true. Will be placing a second order as soon as I finish the rooms I'm working on at the moment. Walnut architrave would be a nice addition to their stock list.  Hint, hint.

I would like  to take this opportunity to thoroughly recomend the staff &services of British Hardwoods.I placed my first order with them aweek ago for 4 oak bookmatched panels, which arrived to me in devon, very quickly,very well packed to protect them during transit.The panels themselves were absolutely gorgeous, better than the pics on the website. However due to a typing error on the website one of the panels was the wrong size (sh**!! major problem methinks!!?).No! a quick phone call to British Hardwoods to a very nice chap and my replacement panel was  with to my amazement delivered to me the very next day,FOC !,Needless to say i have just placed my 2nd order with them.              If you like me are a newbie  budding carpenter and want good quality timber at a good price look no further, I wish I had found  Brtsh Hdwoods abit sooner, but that is a different story!.Andy C.

My order for the OAK lambs tongue Architrave was perfect, great comms from the chap I spoke with, delivery was exactly as promised, and the order process was very easy, especially with the Paypal option available. Will definitely use this company again

The Ash I received looked even better when unpacked than it had in the photo. Lovely quality, super decorative grain, completely square, no waste. The packaging was very strong and protected the timber well. The delivery was exactly when I asked for. Six star rating! Well done British hardwoods.

I have used British Hardwoods a few times now and each time I have been delighted with the products and services. Helpful telephone staff, the wood is well packed to protect the corners and edges and cut with superb precision. From an engineering background, I used to shun woodwork as being ‘to the nearest eighth of an inch’ but this wood is so good that it needs very little finishing. I would certainly recommend them and will be using their services again myself.

I recently purchased Oak flooring, skirting board and architrave from British Hardwoods in order to refurbish my dining room. A friend recommended them to me.
The order arrived on schedule and the quality of the oak was superb. The only drawback I’ve found is the finished room looks so good; my wife wants me to fit out all rooms on the ground floor to match! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend British Hardwoods and I will be using them again.

From my first email enquiry to the delivery of a surprise xmas gift of specific sizes of 3 hardwoods, David and the staff at British Hardwoods were absolutely terrific! I live in Cheshire and my dad lives nr Doncaster, so sourcing and delivery were major issues for me!
I had searched and searched for anyone, anywhere to help me source wood for my dad who had been struggling to afford the beautiful woods he wanted to make gifts for the family…I was about to give up!
A half-hearted enquiry via the internet brought an immediate reply and many more extremely informative emails to help me clarify my dads wood needs. The result being he took delivery of a specifically prepared surprise parcel of hardwoods, as an early Christmas gift and he is over the moon!! There was even a Merry Christmas label placed there by the staff which he was really pleased to read!
I am happy to have found a friendly, professional company dad and I feel we can return to whenever he is ready to choose future wood for his projects and we won’t hesitate to contact them.

As a newbie woodworker couldn’t be more satisfied with packs. Excellent range of widths, thicknesses and surfaces. Many pieces too good for practising and put aside for a time when some small projects can be started. Will certainly come back for more.

Also the carrier (TNT) deserves mention. I missed lunchtime delivery and driver failed to leave tracking reference. Cold called the Company number at 6.15p.m. Guy traced the load (from what sounded like a long list of British Hardwood loads) and at 7p.m. it arrived from local depot.

It doesn’t get any better than this.

Prompt efficient service delivering a top quality product. I asked for some slightly longer lengths to avoid jointing 3m 2.9m etc and thats exactly what i got delivered. Excellent would definatly use again

Such good value and quality when compared to the expensive, limited, low quality offerings at the large DIY stores. It is good to find a supplier who can provide small orders for the occasional buyer at good prices. The Oak supplied was 1st class.

I would recommend these suppliers to anyone.

My purchase was the result of an awful lot of internet searching, I was surprised how difficult it is to buy oak door architrave! I was preparing to plane the sections myself, and then stumbled upon their website.

I was even more pleasently surprised when the 3 lengths turned up after only 3 days so well packaged. The wood itself is well matched, easily enough for a good sized door, beautifully straight grained and straight.

I would not hesitate to recommend British Hardwoods, and will definitely use them again.

I am recommending British Hardwoods to friends and colleagues as the service I recieved from them was second to none. I ordered some oak skirting and I was very pleased to recieve them so quickly and well packaged. We found that we had a rogue length amongst the order where the colour didnt match and the wood was warped, but David was fantastic, and immediately replaced the rogue one with a new length.

Fabulous service, excellent quality skirtings and the best price on the web, what more can you ask for? Buy from British Hardwoods with confidence!

Best website for buying my hardwood supplies and a bonus it arrives when they say so. I live in Scotland outside Dundee and I have yet to find a supplier who can match BH for quality and price, truly a gem. Please please open a store north of the border its a no brainer

Service from the lady on the phone on a Saturday was perfect, although we were warned for a short delay in delivery due to some backlog, we were pleasantly surprised to received an update on monday and a delivery/shipment notice on tuesday afternoon. Even on tuesday morning we got a note keeping us abreast of the progress.
I could not have made a better choice, prices were almost half of the other suppliers, the service was perfect and the quality excellent.
Nothing but praise!

I ordered some lengths of Oak skirtings for finishing off my lounge. I left it a bit late in ordering the skirtings to actually get the job finished off in time. So I phoned and asked when I could expect delivery of my order. The lady phoned me back within 30 mins and said they would push my order through and I could expect delivery the next day.

When I received the Oak skirtings I was very impressed with the quality of the wood and more than happy with my order. I intend to do my whole house and British Hardwoods will be the place I shop for all future orders.

Excellent company with excellent service and delivery. 5 star.
