I am addicted to this place and yet it makes me sneeze big time.
Last time I was in there I tested everything and was told I smelt like a whores handbag when I came out :0))
Have to say I don’t like a lot of it..not a fruity person but I do love Karma. It is the old (almost) patchouli smell. The soap smell lingers on the skin for ages as does the solid perfume.
I think a lot of it is really expensive but nice as a treat or for gifts.

The cloying scent might not be to everyone’s taste, but if you like your beauty products kitschy and you’re a bit of a secret hippy, this is your kind of shop. Staff are probably friendliest you’ll find inside the M25, and they really know their stuff. Don’t be afraid to ask for advice, you’ll no doubt get free samples out of it!

What a lot of people don’t realise because of the fun, bright feel of the shop is how much research goes into the products they sell. It’s not all fizzy bath bombs and weird looking soap. Mr Lush himself is a trichologist, and as a result the haircare is amazing and the one thing I still use without fail. I’m also addicted to good old Dream Cream, a body cream sent from heaven.

If you just can’t cope with the headache-inducing smell, order online. Individually, the products actually smell amazing.

Lush is the type of shop that stirs up your curiosity. When you pass it by, you might think that your favourite candy store has turned into a beauty shop. Well, no... It's just the result of someone's great idea to provide you with fresh hand-made beauty products made of fruits, vegetables and natural oils. They come in many different colours and smell good. Plus, the products are not tested on animals.
A good shop for those who decided to go green!

Lush is one of those annoying stores that you can never walk past without nipping in for a sec, only the sec lasts for an hour and you end up spending a fair amount of money on some new fangled face mask that you will probably forget you even bought the moment you get home.

Despite that, Lush in Covent Garden is a treat to the nostrils and ideal if you feel like treating your self to a relaxing bath or facial. With tubs of face mud and blocks of soap your skin will be thanking you for days if you purchase anything. Cynics would argue that its all over priced muck that does you no good at all, these such people have obviously never tried any of the products on offer, as they are amazing on any part of your body and you can feel the difference right away. Go on treat yourself, you deserve it.

Aaaaaaaaachoo! These shops make me sneeze. I guess the stuff they sell is okay but I can’t get near their entrances because of the strong sneeze inducing odours emanating from within.

The entrance and upstairs part of this particular branch of Lush is tiny but don't let that put you off. This gem of a store is hub of colourful and innovative face, body and hair products and after viewing the inticing display of slabs of nosebud tickling soaps, head down the winding stairwell to the rest of the shop. I personally love the smell that wafts from a Lush shop and could spend untold amounts of times in a shop, but I appreciate that the smell can be overpowering for some, and so if you're looking for something in particular I would recommend asking one of the lovely staff members who are knowledgeable but not pushy.

All the products are handmade, natural and reasonably prices. They also provide funky looking gift boxes if you're looking for a present.

I loooooove Lush. It is absolutely gorgeous stuff. Smells nice, is hand made and not harming environment while being funny and witty. My favourite thing (quite kinky:) is the bath gelly which you use as a soap. These come in different colours and smells each having a funny name like 'Champagne nights'.
They sell more traditional, but non the less fab, things like soaps ('Honey, I washed the kids' is my favourite), shampoos and hand creams and pretty much anything one might need in the bathroom. Also brilliant as original gifts (saved me this Xmas).
Staff are friendly and prices are good. Definitely worth paying a visit to.

The original Lush appears as a wee room in the world famous Covent Garden Market. Then you follow the heady scent of the products down into a vault-like, almost labyrinthian basement jam-packed to the low ceilings with natural beauty products emitting powerful smells.

Anyone familiar with Lush will know that you can smell one from hundreds of feet away as the mind-bending scents are so powerful they travel far.

Lush products often look and smell so good that you want to take a bite into them. Everything is hand made from natural products and everything I've ever bought from there I have enjoyed until it ran out.

If you stay too long there you will get a headache from the over-powering smell or you'll be harassed by the overly helpful staff who are always keen to show you how all the magic products work - great for a first visit, annoying all other times.

Some tips: bubble bars are better than bath bombs, the solid shampoos last forever, buy small bits of the soaps so you can try them all and decide which one you evetually want a big chunk of (they slice the huge bars to your size of choice).
