wonderful: pretty dresses and unique pieces
Spent a small fortune in here last month, 2 pairs of shoes and a dress. After wearing the sandals just 3 times, they fell apart whilst wearing. Very disappointed. Im not from the local area, but when I rang the shop and spoke to the manager to explain my problem, she told me I had to bring the shoes in for her to examine, even though I live all the way up north and bought them on a shopping trip, because it may just be wear and tear. In 5 weeks of owning a pair of shoes, I dont think this is right. Im in contact with trading standards now to get my money back, but the manager has a really bad attitude.....the same as experienced by the rabbit fur lady. This has put me off ever going back there. Considering the money I have spent there, I would expect some customer service in return. Trust me, there must be a million more boutiques to shop for nice things, as I shan't be returning!!!
Love the vintage styles and unique pieces!
I’ve gotten a couple of things from here - the most recent being a cute little tea dress that everyone has said great things about.
Yes the prices are a bit more than a lot of typical high street places, but you won’t constantly find other girls in the same piece as you.
Have also taken a couple of friends who loved the clothes stocked too and who have vowed to come back.
I’ve always found the staff lovely, friendly, and chatty. Highly recommend poping in!
I have two Appletree dresses which are sweet quirky and gorgeous. I fell in love with my newest one this weekend - a 40’s style tea dress with pictures of Olive Oyl from Popeye all over it.
According to the staff the designer starts by sourcing interesting fabrics then decides what will look good made from them.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
I was a bit shocked to read the first review (about the rabbit fur) after having had such a good experience at this shop - I didn’t see anything like that so hopefully they’ve had a rethink on the issue.
I’m not against the pretty dresses in here. I like pretty dresses.
I am against the rabbit fur handbags. When I asked the manager about her choice to stock them (I was very polite!) I was promptly asked to leave.
Rude and unethical. Not off to the best start.
I love this store! Usually pay a visit (and spend an absolute fortune!) when I’m in the area! The clothes are quite expensive (I’m a primarni girl at heart though), I have 3 or 4 dresses from Appletree which ranged from £50 - £65. I always get positive comments when I wear them and people always ask where I got them from. If you’re looking for something a little bit different that you won’t see everyone else wearing I would definitely pay Appletree a visit.
Apple Tree is a cute boutique selling fashion items and accessories for gals by small independent labels. They also stock some homewares and trinkety gift items. The fashion items themselves are generally very heavily adorned with quirky embellishments and quite busy in design. The prices are fair and if you’re prepared to rummage you’ll usually find some cool quirky pieces.
