The location is undoubtedly the biggest draw for this venue. Set high up on the river bank in Richmond the outside space gives you an excellent view along the river and is a stunning location for a sunny afternoon. The staff were very friendly on my last visit there and I can certainly recommend the chocolate brownie on the dessert menu!
The rest of the menu covers all the bases really, and at just a short stroll from the tube station it is an excellent place to while away a Sunday afternoon.

With a perfect location on the riverside, this is a great place to unwind in the summer months while sipping on an ice cold beverage. Great place to watch the big games too like the rugby and football on their big screens. Drinks are reasonably priced too.

You know, I’m going to give The Slug a surprising 3 stars. Why? Well - the riverside location can’t be faulted, almost as good as the White Cross. Also - they’ve never once let me down on having real ale in either. So, although it’s sort of one of those bars that strikes fear into your heart when a colleague suggests it for a leaving do, it’s not actually that bad!
Get a pint, go outside, feed the geese!
