Chadwick's Organic Butchers

I buy almost all of my meat from Chadwicks. I am always very happy with the quality, Their beef is absolutely wonderful in fact all of their roasting meats have always been a success and I have never been disappointed. I am looking forward to BBQ season as the burgers and sausages are fantastic especially the londener and cumberland. I think that some of the previous comments are probably from another local butcher trying to gain business or just people with too much time on their hands. The meat I ordered for christmas was absolutely perfect. I have always found the staff helpful and attentive.Thank you Chadwicks for your continued quality

Before you buy anything from Chadwick’s butchers, take a look at the lane around the back of the shop where they have their meat delivered in the morning BEFORE the shop is open. Their suppliers just dump the meat on the ground for Chadwick’s staff to bring inside when they finally get there. I’ve also seen rotting meat all over the ground there – buy your meat here only if you don’t care about your health!

Everything you expect from a retailer but rarely find. Quality, value, service, knowledge, friendliness and honesty.

I really, really wanted to like this place. I've been in here now several times and the services is just awful. The women behind the counter come across as completely indifferent and unhelpful. This isn't a one-off experience either. I've been in here now 3-4 times and won't be coming back.

The final straw was yesterday. I came in to order a turkey for Thanksgiving and the woman behind the counter had no clue what she was talking about. Normally, this wouldn't be a massive deal. I understand that it's not prime turkey season in England. However, the other woman proceeded to completely undermine her coworker in front of us. I mentioned that they had turkeys on offer on their website and she said 'don't trust the website, we get spammed all the time'. Sorry, but being too lazy to keep your website updated does not equal 'spam'. She then quoted us an absurd price for the turkey £14 per kg. I went across the street to Waitrose and received much better service and a much better price!

I'm all about supporting local small business, but these guys don't even try.

my BBQ hardly needed cleaning because it was all meat with no horrible supermarket fat! I thought the meat would shrink like supermarket stuff but to my surprise, it stayed as big and juicy as when I started cooking.

The taste of the sausages was amazing and I will defo be back for the steak again. Oh and I lovvvved the lamb kebabs yum.

Will try out the online shop next as it's too far to go each week.

Now this is an awesome butcher.

I just got back from Chadwick's in Balham and my housemates are in the kitchen busily preparing the beautiful joint of beef we bought this morning. The folks Chadwick's were delightful and took the time to help us with selecting the right cut of meat (the banter was good too). They also have a deli section here - chorizo, olive, local cheeses, chutneys and much, much more.

A journey well worth making and one of the few butchers in SW London open for most of Sunday. An easy 5 stars.

Very nice, but a bit expensive

Visited there old store when I first moved in and really enjoyed the meat I got. I was very sad when I went back to find they had gone.

Imagine my delight when I found the new bigger and improved store! Excellent produce and a good selection.

Organic butcher just opposite Balham Tube, this tiny store is an aladdins cave when you make it inside. Some of the best chicken I’ve ever had was bought from this place, and it’s a crime not to try their sausages at least once. The staff inside are friendly and helpful, and very quick to serve you at peak times when it can get a bit busy. And it’s better to buy organic meat. So much better. For us, for the animals, and for the environment.

I visited Chadwicks last week having promised to go in several times. It was a good decision. The helpful lady who gave me a guided tour of everything and gave me a free taste of some boar meat (which is lovely) also showed me some Scotch pies (if you’re orginally from Scotland you’ll know what I’m talking about). I only wish I lived near this butchers as I would visit it weekly. Highly recommended for foodies.

What an amazing butchers this is. We needed something great for our Christmas dinner this year so we took the trip from Crystal Palace to Balham to see if Chadwick's could sort us out, as we'd heard good things.

This is a tiny shop (right next door to Balham station) but inside is a warm, friendly place full of mouth watering treats and a really friendly peopel behind the counter. Even at the busy Xmas time they were helpful and gave us some advice on what to order.

The rolled pork loin wasn't cheap (£30 for 2kg) but it's organic and the flavour was amazing...it really made our Xmas dinner and we had so much we were able to cut it in half and freeze some to cook another day.

Chadwick's also have a great selection of sausages, pates and pickles, as well as all the usual meats. And I even picked up a pack of organic mince pies while I was there - very tasty indeed.

If you're in South London and not a vegetarian definitely get yourself down to Chadwicks.
