3 reviews of Chop'd in English
I may be biased because I won the Qype salad competition, but I really do love Chop'd. I often go to competitor Tossed because it's near work, but I have to admit that Chop'd has more interesting, fresh ingredients. It's a perfect lunch spot if you're nearby - very fast, healthy and fresh.
I'm not a fan of wilted lettuce leaves for lunch, but Chop'd is different to most salad bars. There are a whole host of ingredients from the simple to the more exotic and everything tastes wonderfully fresh.
I got to try out a variety of salads when I was there for the qype event and I think the prices of the salads are really reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients and huge portions.
I'm going for anything with Goat's cheese, spiced chickpeas, lemon juice and seeds. I'll also be popping back to sample the soup menu as winter draws in. If you work nearby, it's definitely worth popping in. They also open in the evening providing the perfect healthy option to keep you going when dashing from desk to dancefloor.
I don't think I'd have ever tried out Chop'd if it wasn't for the event Qype did last night. I don't work in town and honestly, salad can be mostly uninspiring.
But Chop'd was different. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty and there were some really unusually fillings - lots of fancy deli stuff to choose from.
Most of the salads come in under a fiver which is a bargain as the portions are huge. I might have to load mine up with a pasta of potato base, but if you're watching what you eat this is a great snacky option.
And of course, if you pop down there in the next two weeks, you'll get to try out Qyper Mseasons' salad - she won the salad making competition and her salad will be on sale for everyone to try!
Well worth popping into, even if it's not the first place you'd think of for lunch.
