Before we went I thought it was a bit pricey for what it is: essentially a farm theme park. But having spent the best part of a full day there, I can say it's pretty good value. They're relaxed about you taking a picnic in and there's not much that you need to pay for once you're there.
There are lots of events, like sheep racing and falconry shows, throughout the day to keep young and old ones happy. If there was a criticism, I'd say it was only really suitable for toddlers through to 10 year-olds. But other than that, I top day out.
Willows Farm village is a really lovely day out if you have children. The site is very large for a farm centre, and there are lots of activities to keep you and your little ones busy all day. They have a good range of animals who seem healthy and well cared for, several play areas, including an indoor soft play area with a cafe, free fairground rides and bouncy castles, two sand pits, ride on tractors, a gorgeous guinea pig village which is really cute, actually I could go on all day about what’s here, but that would be boring, so I won’t. They have activities throughout the day including sheepdog racing, feeding lambs, the usual activities in these places. The food in the cafe is quite expensive and fairly limited, so it is well worth bringing a picnic, as there are some lovely places to sit and eat with the family. I think that the entry fee is well worth what you get, however it’s worth looking around for vouchers, because there are usually plenty of buy one get one free offers for Willows.

This is a lovely place to take the children. They have farm animals, including a rare breed of sheep which breed in the winter. They have toy ride-on tractors for small children, and you can go on a real tractor ride on the farm, on Tristan the Tractor. There are multiple cafes that serve a wide range of reasonably good food & refreshments, and one of the cafes has a huge children’s soft play area with fun slides that adults can go on too. They have a couple of outdoor fairground rides for kids. Their Santa’s Grotto at Christmas was phenomenal and well worth a visit.
Prices are a bit steep so it’s not the kind of place you’d go to frequently due to the expense, but it’s nice as a treat for the kids. Aside from the food, everything within the farm is free once you’ve paid the entry fee which justifies the expense somewhat.

Lots going on at this place both summer and winter. The summer’s great because there are lots of rides outside for the kids and animals to see, whilst in the winter they relatively recently added an indoor play center which is fab - particularly for older kids. It is expensive unless you join I think. It has a cafe that serves a wide range of food that appeal to kids.

On first impressions Willows Farm Village seems slightly over priced. However there is so much for children to see and do - from meeting guinea pigs and rabbits and getting to hold them to riding on Justin the Tractor and watching sheep racing. You could quite easily spend all day here. There is a cafe, however picnics are also allowed on site.
There is extensive parking, clearly signposted and all the staff I have encountered have been very friendly.
On leaving the village you exit through the farm shop, which sells gifts and nic nacs and locally produced food etc. However this can also be visited free of charge from a different entrance.
They also offer annual passes which provides unlimited access throughout the year and invitation to special events just for pass holders.

Expensive! Willows farm, outrageously charges for adults and children to enter.
That aside, the children will have a good time here. There is lots to see and do. There are rides to go on. A little tractor area for toddlers to ride. Animals to see.
They have a new soft play area that has proved popular.
You can also book birthday parties here.
The farm shop and gift store are also worth a visit. You can enter them both without paying.

Willows Farm Village is an excellent place to visit if you have children. I found the gift shop items mainly geared towards children and were a little bit twee.
The children can go and visit the animals, and it is a great day out for the family. You have to pay to get in the farm, but not the surrounding out buildings where the shops are.

I love this place!!! I’m a childminder and have a 2 year old of my own and Willows Farm has been a lifesaver for me on many occasions. Towards the end of 2007 they opened 'Wooly Jumpers’ which is the indoor soft play area. It’s a huge area with separate areas for different ages. They split it into 0-2, 2-4 and another large section for older children, however I find that 4 year olds are a bit old for the 2-4 section but they are welcome in the other are. There are huge drop slides for the big kids and a great wavy slide.
You can buy food and drink in the cafeteria and in Wooly Jumpers. There are loads of animals to see, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Ponies, Horses, Sheep, Chickens, Pigs, Alpacas, Reindeer, Falconry displays…. Also there is a decent childrens funfair at no extra cost. This really is a great place to visit and I make great use of my yearly pass.

My kids used to love this place, unfortunately they are too old for it now, as I used to like going too!! Their favourite was the barn containing the rabbits and the guinea pigs, which they were allowed to pet, I have some great photos of them with the rabbits.
last time I went it was only about ten pounds per person, which I think is great value.
