I had a whole new look on Saturday afternoon, I had ruined hair from my previous hairdressers Paula was great; I had a power build treatment a couple of weeks before my restyle which was awesome, then a full consultation, what I got was better than I had hoped for! The whole team are brilliant. Also, I was stopped on the train this morning twice to give me a compliments on my hair. I am more than happy to recommend to anyone I meet. The service was great there, the price was reasonable and the salon has a really great atmosphere there. Thanks ladies x

Paula's devolped the most pain free wax I have ever come across. Her hospitality is exceptional serving champagne and the finest loose leaf teas on arrival. I recommend women to loose bad habits of the outdated painful waxing and try hoxton salon.

My new rebounded hair receives more compliments when I had a house visit to my aunt. My cousin’s are asking where I had the treatment and I told them in this salon. I was embarrassed because the salon gave me free hot oil because my cousin went here for some treatment.

One would never believe that I would be raving about the pains (suffered) of having warm wax smeared on my skin, for the purposes of yanking hair from the very roots of their follicles. Every woman (and indeed some (brave) men) will understand the agony of being torn (forgive the pun), between wanting to be freshly waxed, and the process of getting there. However if you're going to go anywhere for some "pleasure pain" therapy I'd suggest heading down to see the ladies at the Hoxton Salon. Not only do they use organic wax, but Paula's waxing technique not only made sure every last hair breathed it's last (well at at least for 3-5 weeks), but also minimised pain - bonus! However the wonders do not end there, there was no bruising! Woo hoo. Loving your work Mrs! And in the words of Arnie, I'll be back! Yes, I am really that sad.

This was my first time coming to this salon and as always i am quite apprehensive about using new salons. I was referred to Hoxton Salon by a friend. I was made welcome on arrival and a lady called Hayley was to do my wax. I warned her that I am a total wreck when it comes to waxing however she made me very relaxed by talking me through what she will do and when so i felt at ease right away. It was literally over in minutes..!! Usually I feel like it takes forever but after a glass of bubbly which I was given to on arrival and a warm chat with Hayley there wasn’t actually any pain and before I new it it was over! So girls if you are like me and cant stand a wax but have to do it, please feel at ease when coming here. Great atmosphere, friendly people and a beautician who knows her stuff!

I went into the Hoxton Salon today for an eyebrow wax. My beautician was friendly, but the outcome was horrendous! She was very rough with the tweezing & waxing. I have red sores/bruises on my eyelids from where she pinched my skin in the tweezers. I left with talcum powder on my blouse, & wax residue on my face, forehead and even in my hair. Now for the worst part - the beautician took off an entire chunk of hair, right in the middle of my left eyebrow. I was mortified when I looked in the mirror. She advised me that I'd had a 'bald spot' when she was doing the treatment. I didn't know what she was talking about, I assumed she was speaking about how sparse my eyebrow hair is. I certainly did not have a bald spot before I went into the salon! I was too horrified to argue, so I paid & left. As soon as I showed my friends & told them what happened, they agreed that it was really bad service & that my eyelids were irritated & swollen. This is a frustrating situation, because I've just spent the last 2 months growing my eyebrows out! Now I've actually got part of an eyebrow missing, due to the rushed job of a poorly trained beautician. I can see by the other reviews that the owner/manager does care about customer feedback, so I'll be in touch with the salon to raise the issue, hopefully get the beautician re-trained, & stop this from happening to anybody else. Nightmare.

After reading some of the reviews I decided to go here for a hollywood wax. The beautician was really polite and took my jacket on arrival. I was then offered a glass of champagne. As it was my first time in the salon I think I may have appeared a bit nervous, the beautician put me completely at ease. She was really talkative which I feel makes the whole process go a lot quicker and the champagne definitely dulled the pain (It was the least painful bikini wax I have had in years). I was so happy with the results that I booked in my next appointment there and then. It is not the most expensive hollywood wax I have had but definitely the nicest salon. Good value for money.

I had my hair cut here by Natasha a few weeks ago after a friend of a friend recommended the salon. It is the first time in years that I have walked out absolutely loving my new hair cut! Natasha and everyone else I met were wonderful - so friendly and welcoming. I'm so pleased I have found somewhere that I can rely on for a good hair cut as well as it being a pleasure to visit. Great experience. Thank you!

If you ever need pampering to the max, good conversation and be made to feel very special you must book in at Hoxton Salon. Natasha spent over two hours cutting my hair and I'm delighted with the results - cant wait to go back for more beautifying!!!

Thank you Hoxton Salon - despite my lateness on my last visit I was greeted with the warmest welcome ( and I love a warm welcome...) this involved an offer of a glass of bubbly ( and I love a glass of bubbly). Really the friendliest salon team I have met - the owner makes sure everyone is looked after from the moment they step through the door. Paula is someone who really knows how to make a business shine - I have now had 4 visits to the salon over the last 6 months and having moved to their organic colour systems for highlights my hair is in so much better condition. Hayley does my waxing and is professional and thorough...great to find somewhere I feel comfortable getting a wax - plus Hayley always has great tips of the best events for the weekend. I love this place...

This is the second time I have been here to get my hair done and the quality of service is really good. I have to admit though I was disappointed in how my hair colour turned out. I expected it to be a lot lighter than it was and the girl who did my hair convinced me it turned out exactly how it should have. I was too embarrassed to say anything and decided it must have just been the light but when I went home my boyfriend couldn't even tell I had coloured my hair, which was a bit upsetting as I have dark brown hair and the picture I brought in was for a very light brown. Overall though I will be back but maybe I need to be really specific next time as to how light I wanted to go, maybe OCS just doesn't go as light as other hair dyes. Loved the pampering though thanks for the service :)

After much searching via internet for hair salons in the area I came across Hoxton Salon with its many good reviews, and decided to give it a try..
I am so pleased I did! I got a same day appointment with Vicky and upon entering the salon I was made to feel welcome and at ease. Vicky gave some excellent advice on my hair and the cut it needed and above all she delivered with that cut.
I have long/curly hair which can be diffiicult to manage and cut but Vicky knew exactly what was needed and did not take any more off than I wanted her too. :-)
I am very happy with the result and will definitely return for my next trim!

This was the best, least painful wax I have had by a long way. Paula is a very lovely woman with some funny stories and we had a lot of great banter. Highly recommended! I would have given 5 stars for the facilities and ambience but there are some building works going on. I was offered tea, coffee, biscuits, even bubbles! Not the cheapest of waxes, but you get what you pay for. After the horror waxing stories we shared, trust me I know!

I can't recommend this place enough. I'm not a 'hair' kind of person but Vicky takes away the dread of having my do done. I found it tricky to find a salon in East London that doesn't just reel out the same hair cut for everyone. Vicky listens to what you want and gives fantastic advice on whats best. Thier hair cuts last and receive many a comment! Plus, you get a good natter in a friendly environment and a glass of bubbly if you want one. Fantastic.

I'd take a bullet for Vicky or Paula. Perfect cut and wax every time, and I've searched for years to find a good haircut. They are very warm and friendly, and I've never left there in tears.
