I'd walked past this place a couple of times and vowed to try it when I had a chance. I walked past today and they were advertising their lunch special of a bento box with salad, pickles and fruit for £5 not bad at all.

So I ordered the lunch special - admittedly I was expecting to be able to choose what type of bento box I wanted (e.g chicken, beef, salmon, etc) but it's really a set menu. Today's offering was beef with green onions. Fair enough.

I was also hankering for some California rolls so I ordered some (very reasonable at £2.50 for 6 rolls) - they were some of the best California rolls I've had in a long time. Crunch cucumber, flavorful crab, great texture. Really good.

The bento box meal was also pretty good although having had the rolls, I think next time I'll be sticking with the sushi.

So not bad, obviously not a high-end place, but definitely doable.
