When I feel sad or depressed the only thing I need is to visit this place – I always find something to make me feel better!
I found it almost ironic to visit this shop; I’m someone who, if given, say £200 would happily fritter it away on some climbing shoes, a new harness or some velocity deep V’s; but on beauty? You’ve got to be joking. I’m a cheapskate. My repertoire consists of coconut oil, tea tree, shea butter and some el-cheapo foundation that was probably an heirloom from my great grandmother.
But that’s the problem with Lush and their new beauty bar; it smells SO good; I’m sure they pump pheromones out onto the passing crowds just to lure them in. I was trundling through central London on the way to the VANS store. I caught a whiff of something strawberryish… vanilla-y; I don’t know what happened next but when I came to I had a bag in my hand and a lot less money for fixie shopping.
I’ve recently decided to put a moratorium on perfumes with chemicals in; if you’re the same then this is the place to go. You can indulge your glamorous fantasies about being some kind of Dita Von Teese clone in their Bordello-esque, colourful emporium, tottering around with your powder puff and ruby red lipstick, or using those elaborate spherical perfume bottles with the spray pumps, possibly whilst wearing a corset. They even have scented grooming stuff for blokes (all very spicy strong scents, not girly at all). The prices are reasonable but the temptations are many. Definitely one for the first Saturday of the month.
I carry Two Hearts perfume with me all the time - it’s in a little tube spray which is happy to be thrown into the bottom of a bag without breaking or leaking. I love the smell(rose and jasmine)but it doesn’t smell commerical or ordinary like a lot of mainstreat perfumes and people comment on it all the time.
I find the makeup here a bit gaudy, glittery and overwhelming though!
I ruddy love this store. If it had orifices, I would stick everything in them 'till I was blue in the face for their pleasure. Thank you.
The make up arm of Lush!
They have an amazing range of products, from glittery eyeshadows, to perfumes, right through to make up brushes. Their packaging is amazing too.
They have helpful staff on hand to given you demonstrations.
Sister shop to the fabulous Lush Cosmetics chain, B Never specialises in high end vegan make-up, luscious soaps, shower gels, shampoos and perfumes all made to dazzle and impress.
Their perfume ranges have matching soaps and shower products: 1000 Kisses, Breath of God, Cocktail, Love, Two Hearts Beating as One, Keep it Fluffy, B Scent and Superworldunknown. There are 3 ranges for men: Dear John, Dirty and Ladyboy. They have holiday specials as well.
The make-up comes in a wide range of colours and is beautifully packaged in carved wooden pots or sparkly jewelled containers with matching vegan brushes.
The staff are more than happy to demonstrate the products and the purchases you make are beautifully wrapped and packaged. Treat yourself and check it out soon!
fantastic shop selling all sorts of smellies and make up. They do vegan make up and brushes and cater for all ages and types. They do men’s body/beauty products too. Fabulous gifts very prettily packaged and they will gift wrap too. The eye make up can be bought in re-usable pots covered in coloured glass “gems” and are really gorgeous.
Walking into a B Cosmetics boutique is like walking into an Aladdin’s Cave. The interiors in the Carnaby St and Covent Gardens stores are designed beautifully and the girls that serve are stunning and made up like real life dolls. I have always found the assistants to be very helpful and were very accommodating and understanding when I needed to exchange an item and return an item both without receipts. The packaging is a little fragile (covered in beads etc) so in my opinion the items are for the dressing table rather than the make up bag, but they look so beautiful it’s not really a drawback.
