Beautiful clothing but beware of the terrible quality! Bought a dress, wore it for 3 hours, didn’t even wash it yet, and the pattern started to substantially come off. Took it back to the shop who said that was perfectly natural, and that there was nothing faulty about the pattern coming off after such a short time. They refused to exchange or refund me. The dress was expensive and I find this appalling, it looks terrible and I can’t beleive I spent such a lot of money on something that is now unwearable.

Think of anything fluffy and feminine – a grown-up, upmarket version of Claire’s with a hint of Continental rètro. Perfect for that velvety finishing touch to a special outfit, or for a sweet, unusual accessory for a girlfriend who seems to have everything. After the bridge and next door to that v. popular pub on the left if you come from Chalk Farm tube.

Miss Lala’s Boudoir is a trove of all things cute and frilly. They sell gorgeous lingerie by cult labels like Pistol Panties & Butcher and Snatch. The shop is minute but stuffed with exquisitely beautiful pieces, lots are retro in style and most things are very frilly! It’s a favourite of mine to float around in whilst nosing around Notting Hill. As well as the lingerie they also sell gifts like candles and purses.
