Visit the Barton Arms for some great beer, a lively crowd to mix, and sample the friendliness of Brummies. It’s an awesome victorian pub, and is a unique asset to the city - the city centre is a mile and half or so away, and there are tons of buses that stop outside if you want to visit from the city centre.

You’ll appreciate the victorian glasswork, tiles and overall roominess of the venue. They also have function rooms upstairs, and they offer catering for parties etc.

The word ‘cosmopolitan’ could have been invented for the Bartons,as it has a varied and intereting clientele, and tremendous beers, well kept, good variety, etc, also continental bottles. Excellent. Good Thai nosh too. Probably the best pub in town.,

I read last year that this victorian pub was Ozzy Osbourne's old drinking den. Since then, its been refurbished, is almost posh and I hear it has a good Sunday Lunch. I went sometime back and without question would and want to go again. The crowd is of all ages with a lot of early 30 somethings and enough women. The interior is beautiful and its location is easy to find. It was voted pub of the year a few years back for good reason.
