I have been visiting London about 15 times within the last twenty years and I saw degrading "the Troc" from a 5-story arcade land with more games to waste your time with than you could Play in a man's life to some 1.5 miniature stories of a few games and more bricked-off-walls than the Tube...
Last time I came around, in October 2012, some of the old flair returned but nothing compared to what it was.
Nowadays, it's a fun place to spend around 2 hours with your family - fourtunately London has a lot more to offer ;-)

We went bowling there with friends. Place is huge and great fun. We didn't need to wait for long to get started even though everything was fully booked when we came.
There is lots of other fun things you can do there. Appropriate for both, kids and adults.

The trocadero is fantastic it has 5 or 6 floors.
The first and second floor are full of shops including claires accessories, a great sweet shop, and many stalls which are run by chinese people that sell chinese ornaments and stuff.
On level 3 and 4 theres arcades, every arcade game you can think of for example 2p machines, 10p machines, slot machines, car racing etc.
Theres also a bowling alley which is far to expensive £25 for 2 kids one game thats just so dear but its great fo the kids or if your in a large group and fancy something different then this isgood for you.
They also have a pub situated rightnext to the bowling alley, this is for adults only but there is a section for familys to sit in between the pub and the bowling alley.
Theres also the dodgems which is great for all ages you get in the car and just crash into each other which is great.
Theres a few sweet shops and little snack bars to have a soft drink and a bite to eat but they are all very pricey.
All in all this is a great day out for everyone to go and enjoy but it does cost a hell of a lot of money if you have children.

The Trocadero is a great afternoon out for the whole family. It is in the heart of London in Piccadilly Circus. It has many floors with lots going on like shopping, a huge amusement arcade with machines that give out tickets for the kids to save & claim a prize which they love, bumper cars, bowling alley & much more. It’s not too expensive & just as much fun even if you only go for an hour :)

I used to love going to the Trocadero for it’s wonderful stalls, shops etc but it’s gone down hill over the years and now just seems to focus on 'gaming’ machines and teens running around in groups just hanging round. Very busy and not somewhere to go if you’re trying to navigate a wheelchair through crowds.

This used to be a fun place to go but has become over commercialised and just a hive for young terrors to be snarky and cause trouble. I miss the sega center. Has an okay arcade area, cinema is over priced, HMV is probably the only good thing going here.

Almost bang in the middle of Leicester Square & Picadilly Circus, the Trocadero is a decent place to spend an hour if you are in the area. Not sure I would make a dedicated trip just to go there though.
Upon entry it is quite a squeeze if the mall is busy as the corridor is narrow. The passage is full of little shops, check out the sweet shop on the right - it is always the busiest and best looking shop in the Trocadero - I wonder why? ;)
Up the escalators (accompanied by loud booming music) are various slot machines & video games - there were a couple of 2p falls machines working for those of you who don’t like to lose your cash in such places!
Further up the stairs are the dodgems (not my thing but very popular here) and at the top is a sports bar and also a bowling alley.

This is one my favourite places in london, it is so central and so a great meeting place. There is so much happening and so many activities that it is possible to appease everyone.
I have been to the bowling alley twice in the past year and although it is a little expensive, it is fun and suitable for all age groups and both men and women. For reference, they do offer a cheap rate for bowling on weekdays before 1pm, so if you are free at this time, I would recommend that you give it a go.
There are also the dodgems which is fun and againg suitable for kids and adults. The best part about this is that you do not have to be in control, you are actually encouraged to crash into one another, so long as it remains friendly. With road rage on the up, it is an excellent chance to release all types of frustration. I would recommend this as a form of therapy for anyone who has anger management…
There are also numerous shops and it is right next to leicester square where there also so much to do!

I love this place in Central London. There are a few floors filled with amusement games and even a sports bar on the top. This place is great for both kids and adults. The adults can have a go at a few gambling machines they’ve got or even play a few rounds on the bumper cars (dodgems). They’ve even got a bowling alley close to the sports bar but that is always packed for some reason. Some of the amusement machines still spit out tickets which you can exchange for a prize, it can get quite addictive.

Situated in the heart of Piccadilly circus, this is the perfect place to go to when you're in the west end, or are a tourist and want to have a fun filled time, do some shopping, eat some food, play in the massive, ever growing arcade. I used to go here every time i visited my dad in London when i was little, so i recommend it to kids, who love playing on games, driving bumper cars, and lke earning tokens to win lots of cheap, silly but brilliant prizes. I also had my tenth birthday here, so it's a good place to go with a group of friends, as there is literally everything.
