Holland & Barrett

I love them. Wide range of everything healt conscious peron might need. Wide selction of nuts. Lot of gluten and wheat stuff. Going in there will make you buy even things you didn't come for. I like their snacks to go as well as they are much healthier options when you are on the go and they are tasty too!! I love the carrot cake:)

I have a slightly love and hate affair with the Holland & Barrett chain.

I like it because it has a comprehensive range of ‘alternative’ health preparations, from herbs and vitamins to Homeopathic medicines (I stick to herbs and vitamins), a good selection of dried fruits and nuts, and ingredients for vegetarian and low-fat meals; and ingredients like tofu which can be hard to find elsewhere. Above all, it’s consistent and the increasing number of branches means that you are never far away from one.

My dislike is because the stores are can be bit dull and soulless, it’s expensive for many items (although they do have amazing half-price sales from time to time), and staff seem very variable: in some branches helpful and efficient, but in others, chaotic and flustered.

The Earl’s Court shop is one of the smaller but better managed branches, with friendly staff and a reasonable stock. There are a few fridge cabinets also selling snacks and fresh veggie or vegan cooking ingredients.
