Al Ehya Restaurant

This is a great local perry barr restaurant. all the profits go to a charity back in pakistan looking out for poor people and earthquake survivors. The staff are very friendly and dow to earth. My favourite food here is the lamb bhuna with large tandoori nan bread, and the mixed vergatable curry and spinach aloo is also very good.For an average meal expect to pay about 4-6 pounds, the place has a family area and you can also get burger,fries,chicken wing and the samosa and katlama are also very tasty.

The not for profit restaurant is right in the centre of Perry Barr and is a neighborhood favourite. Their prices are low and the chicken and the naan are fantastic. They deliver for anything over 10 pounds but it rarely gets that expensive. The dining area is fine for eating in but after eating there you'll need to wash your hands and the bathrooms aren't so nice. Also I have heard many complaints about not enough chicken being in the biriani. But ya can't be too picky when its for charity.
