Bartle Hall Hotel
1 review of Preston Marriott Hotel in English
The Preston Marriott hotel is an excellent 4 star Marriott property located near Junction 32 of the M6 motorway in the village of Broughton.
There is a large car park and the hotel is in a rural setting with an extensive lawn area to the front of the hotel.
I visit The Marriott a lot although living quite local for meetings, drinks, meals and weekend breaks as the hotel is great for a relaxing break. The hotel rooms are split across the original Victorian part of the building and newer extensions and the reception is quite small but is impressive-the staff are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant serves very good meals.
We stayed recently on Christmas Eve for a break following the busy month up to Christmas and the room was in the original part of the building-it was a good standard with a flat screen tv etc although have to say it was quite small and the bathroom was in need of refurbishment-so hope this is resolved by a re-development of this part of the hotel. There was a problem with the hot water supply in that part of the hotel on Christmas morning so couldn't use the shower but the reception staff managed the situation very professionally and arranged for us to use another room so we could have showers-this was in the newer part of the building and noticed that the room was larger and the bathroom was quite good. I would therefore recommend that you request a room in this part of the building if staying for a few nights or if travelling on business.
The hotel has a lot of meeting rooms and function suitesand is very popular for corporate events and meetings.
There are various room rates but the average price of a standard room is £95 on week days.
The Leisure Club is excellent and there's a gym, steam room, sauna, jacuzzis and swimming pool.
The breakfast was excellent when we stayed-buffet style with tea and coffee served by the staff who were very festive and happy on Christmas Day!
The bar offers bar snacks and is a good location for short business meetings-there is sometimes sports on the tv's and although bar prices are quite expensive they are in line with hotel bar prices and there is a good range of bar snacks, wines and beers.
The hotel is ideal for both business travel and leisure stays and located only 10 mins drive from Preston City Centre it's the best hotel in Preston.
