still brilliant today….. been coming here for over 20 years now…my mum and dad used to bring me when i was a kid… and now i bring my wife and kids here every month for a great meal. My fav is the staff curry… cant get any better than that…a proper real mcCoy of a curry, i had lamb and potato staff curry.. tender chunks of lamb on the bone in a spicy but flavoursome broth..tasted really fresh and warmed me right up!. My wife stacy always orders her honey chicken….a bit sweet for me but she loves it! and i must say they are extremely child friendly…my 4 year old boy loves their chicken nuggetts! – the staff are brilliant and always attentive- and very reasonable on the wallett.

Went there once and was disgusted with the food and service. The person i went with ordered a prawn curry that ended up only having 2 prawns in it and was very watery and bland we complained to the waiter about it who called the owner/manager who then proceeded to accuse us of lying and insulted us on a big scale, saying things like we must be "on the dole" and that we were "only after a free meal". We then asked for the bill and told them we would pay for starters drinks and the one main we didnt complain about but not the prawn curry as it wasnt really a prawn curry. They told us we were paying for the curry and that they would call the police if we didnt. This place just seems tp prey on people that they think are so drunk they wont notice what the actual food is that they are getting!! I have never been to a restaurant that is so bad and been treated so badly and i have been to a lot of Indian Restaurants all over the country. Their customer Service definitely leaves a lot to be desired!!!!!! Doesnt even deserve one star!!!

Tried this place because of good reviews but was disappointed - 3 stars would be generous.

We went on a quiet mid week evening - no one else there. Staff were friendly and willing to offer advice on the not-extensive menu.

The mixed starter was average both in terms of range and quality - it included a chicken wing and a seikh kebab wrapped in a chapati like a big doughy sausage roll.

For mains the pilau rice was serviceable, chicken madras lacked punch and flavour despite being served 'Indian style'. A chef's mutton special was excellent with lots of flavour and good tender meat. The naan bread however was poor being very doughy and heavy in consistency, and served luke-warm.

Sadly the beers were also luke warm and flat.

The decor is pretty good though the seats needed a throughly good clean, still, a reasonably pleasant environment.

In summary then, the food wasn't bad for the most part, but wasn't impressive, and a few basic errors really detracted from the whole experience.

Friendly serrvice and great food. They do an excellent mixed starter if you can’t make your mind up. For the main if you fancy a change try the “staff curry” for something authentic and different.

Not many restaurants make you feel special as soon as you walk in but this place does. Specialises in Asian cuisine. Alcohol is also available. Very friendly staff who make you feel welcome and excel at providing a first class service. The food is ofthe highest quality in a well established and popular venue. This restaurant has built up a very good reputation over a long period of time. A good place to end a night out and will often stay open (and busy) until the early hours.
