Expensive!
One of the young men cooking the food had a bad chest and was constantly coughing his lungs up which is not a good advertisement for this place.If I had seen him before ordering my food,I would have walked back out and went elsewhere.
Won’t be back.

I lived in a flat round the corner from this place. The flat had a nonfunctional kitchen. Bless the Crown, I would have starved to death otherwisse. Best chips in London, maybe the world. The brothers that worked there (maybe still do), lovely guys.
Can’t wait to go back when I visit London. Long live The Crown Chippie

Excellent cod; very fresh, and great chips; crispy and fat. Fast, friendly service. Had take-away so can’t comment on the ‘restaurant’, but definitely don’t be put off by the exterior.

This place is unassuming, and so easy to miss, even though it's practically on the corner of Camden High Street. My flatmate reckons it's the best chippy ever - especially their scampi and chips. I'm not so convinced about that, but I do love the fact that the counter looks like a kebab shop from the 1980s, but turn around and the 'restaurant', looks like a cafe you might be in if you were on holiday, with painted blue walls and large windows that we hope are opened in the summer.
