These days there is a bit more of a student feel to the place than there used to be, although thank god they removed the horror that was the Open Mic night last year. The ambience is fine although as a very regular visitor I have to say that the lack of imagination in the menu, and the fact that it hardly ever changes, is enough to drive me almost to tears. Everything has chorizo or some orange coloured vegetable in it. But it is a safe place to go - good for meeting friends, taking family (as long as they are not children - who are basically banned, see notice at front) or having a meal in a large group.

Bar Ha Ha is quite a posh, but nice bar/restaurant. It is located in the heart of the city, but because it is downstairs from the road, it feels a bit like you are not in the middle of the city. It has a pretty outside bit at the front and a fair amount of space inside. The food is good – I recommend the eggs and skinny chips and there is quite a good selection of drinks and not too highly priced.
