Marylebone is definitely the best of all the London farmers’ markets (some of them are tiny!) and I think it is one of the most established.
There is a really good range of vegetables, cheese, seafood, and meat here and you can find things here like unpasteurised milk, buffalo milk yoghurt, and fly-fished river trout that you just won’t find anywhere else. The crowd is also much more mellow than Borough Market and you have more space to wander around and talk to the producers.
The market itself may not be enough to warrant a trip from other parts of London but if you combine it with a wander to some of the other shops in Marylebone’s ‘gourmet ghetto’ (La Fromagerie, Ginger Pig, Divertimenti) it makes for a worthwhile trip.

Tucked behind Marylebone High Street in Cramer Street Car Park, the Marylebone Farmers Market is a great place to shop. On offer are all the usual stalls selling freshly bake breads and cakes, dairy products, as well as locally produced meat and veg.

There is a real buzz about this place as foodies from all over London come to do their weekly shop.

I find the best thing about the Marylebone Farmers Market is all the nearby shops - from fancy boutiques to specialist food shop and supermarket chains. And, there are plenty of places to sit and relax with either a warming coffee or reviving pint - whichever takes your fancy.

Marylebone Farmers Market is on of London’s biggest farmers markets which meets once a week on Sundays. I used to live 5minutes walk away and I’d get up and walk down every Sunday and eat breakfast there as well as buying produce to eat for the next week. As with all of the London Farmers Markets the produce is sourced from farms nearby London so the environmental impact is minimal and all of the retailers are small independent producers. There are usually about 40 stalls but if this isn’t enough than there are many more shops in the Marylebone area worth checking out especially La Fromagerie which is located on the north end of the car park.

Also watch out for the guy selling fresh onions from a bike!
