Having only sampled the bar area of Camino, I can’t speak for the restaurant - but after reading favourable reviews I have to say I was a trifle disappointed with the drinks-and-tapas portion of the gastronomic venture.
Well located in King’s Cross this is a popular spot for the office workers of the locality who are after post-work drinking without a bus fare to Islington; it serves the purpose tolerably well with lots of space and an appealing vibe. The £15 house rosé we sampled was a bit below par (even house wines should be tasty) and although the décor is lively and fun it does feel pretty chain-y and not exclusive enough to justify the prices in the next-door restaurant.
Staff were tolerably helpful and there’s a buzzy atmosphere. Camino’s convenient but not highly commended by me.
