Kilburn has a diverse local community and we aim to reflect that. Choose from the latest in literary fiction to an Irish ‘misery memoir’; from the current Orange prize winner to ‘Jamaica Tonics’ - we try to have the right thing for each customer. Ask for advice and it’s happily given; we’ll ask a few questions and usually come up with a range of suitable titles for you to look at.

We are well known for our speedy ordering service, often within 24hours and we order for local schools and academies, advise book groups as well as contributing to the ‘best sellers’ lists for two of the main London newspapers.

The Kilburn bookshop is located at the end of Kilburn High Road going towards Maida Vale. With a good mix and selection of books from children books, autobiographies, cookery, history, fact and fiction, there's something for everyone here. The independent book stores are definately worth checking out, as they tend to have reading material that you won't normally find in the average Borders or Waterstones stores. The nearest station to the Kilburn bookshop is Kilburn Park on the Bakerloo line or Kilburn High Road (on British Rail / Silver Link Metro), which is more or less exactly opposite to the book store. Bus routes include the 98, 206, 316, 32 and the 328.

This is the only bookshop in Kilburn-unsurprising, as Kilburn isn't a particularly culturally sophisticated area of London-though its often pretty lively on street music.(The Tricycle theatre in Kilburn, is ,of course, well known and respected.)
I have a soft spot for this well laid out bookshop. They usually can get me the book I want by the next day, and the selection of fiction is exactly to my taste- I sometimes wonder if the owner isn't telepathic! Of course everyone believes that THEIR taste is good taste, but I guarantee no trash or all those awful lifestyle guides here. Just a very quiet and well thought out independent book-shop- increasingly a rarity in London.
