Delicious food (breakfast is terrific), fantastic service in a place that makes you feel like you walked into a movie.
Must visit if you’re in this neighbourhood.

A faded art deco interior, loud, Italian, greasy spoon, churning out English breakfasts to a mix crowd of foodies, locals and arty types. A wonderful amalgamation.

Consistently delicious.
I am an ex-pat NYer and was desperate for a decent simple Italian meal, and have finally found it! I wholeheartedly repeat the sentiments of reviews below by saying the interior is gorgeous, the staff friendly from your first visit, and the food always very good with generously sized portions (and reasonable prices).
Dining here is a sure fire way to brighten your day and fill your belly.

You gotta love this place.
It's iconic, a little East End Gem, where the staff are always smiling

I went there last week. The whole place was shut up as they are on holiday until the end of August. I was so dissappointed! I'll be back asap....early Sept! This place is famous with loads of history (including the Krays). Its iconic! .
Will right a proper review after.
Get there before it dissappears.

This place is very special with its original 50s shopfront and grade II listed interior.
It is loud, bustling and you can get a huge plateful of home-cooked food for about 6 pounds.
It is places like this that make me love London; a real gem.

I love the atmosphere in here, and you can get a plate of food that fills you up and clogs your arteries for under a fiver! The pasta dishes are really good too. The spinach and ricotta cannelloni is especially good.
What I love about Pellici is that it has a great vibe in there and is fabulous for people watching. You will find yourself squashed in with every Eastend stereotype imaginable. Expect to be called Duchess and do prepared to be squashed. It is cramped and if you go at a peak time you will find yourself squished a bit, but this is part of the charm here.
If ever you want to go to a proper Eastend greasy spoon, look no further than Pellici’s!

(eye-talian) family run caff since 1902, so small you wouldn’t believe; signora Pellcci Senior is still the chef in command; son Nevio and a team of slim british italian (relatives?) run the deck.
Food is the usual mix of caff foods from english breakfast to sunday roast with the italian spaghetti and lasagne.
Generous portions, tiny prices, friendly service (couldn’t be any friendlier), tiny room.
When a patron asked Nevio why they don’t buy the shop next door and knock down the wall, Nevio replied something about the fact that money isn’t everything.
This place has the buzz of those italian pasticcerie in Hoboken New Jersey.
If you are in London don’t miss this place and don’t miss the vibrant multi ethnic alternative area, millions of miles away from “touristic” london.

The BEST cafe I know with 1000s of regulars. Go late or early for lunch to get a table. Traditional fry-ups, delicious sandwiches (ham on the bone etc) and great lasagne, all served with considerable style in this tiny and beautiful establishment with listed status. Also, AFFORDABLE!

Pellicci’s, on Bethnal Green Road, is the best cafe in London, if not the entire world. Since 1900, the Pellicci family, many of whom were born in the room upstairs, have been running this tiny art-deco cafe for locals, taxi drivers, showbiz types, and the rest of us. The breakfasts are without peer in their authenticity. It’s like going home for a fry-up, with cockney-Italian banter thrown in. You can imagine Michael Caine walking in at any moment. It’s tiny, but they always find room for you. You won’t need lunch after breakfasting there, and you will always come back.
