Wirtshaus Eckbert, Neukölln, Berlin

I love this pub - Eckbert is a great place to go for a cheap lunch if you’re going to the Turkish market just along the canal bank (tuesdays and fridays). It’s not one of the 'cool’ bars which are proliferating just south of the canal in Neukolln, just an old fashioned Berlin Knieper. Good position, small garden out front which catches the sun in summer.

They do a fixed price lunch menu, always good value, and free wireless (which we used for a while when we moved in across the street sorry Eckbert, will buy more drinks!).
