Old school and about as East End-y as it gets. Plenty of hustle and bustle and a number of decent places to grab a coffee. I haven’t been in awhile, I need to get back there … with my camera. Great London vibe that lessens the further west you go into town.

I love this market because I can buy famous brands fashion at very reasonable prices. The market has stalls that, sells mostly ladies clothes, bags and shoes. The best day to visit Roman road is Saturday early morning as there are more stalls, although the market is also opened on Tuesdays and Thursday. I always run out of money when I go to Roman Road because there are so much bargains, that you will just keep spending. So make sure you have enough cash on you because you will not enjoy the long queue for the cash machine.

Roman Road is always busy and on Tuesdays and Thursdays it turns into a huge street market. There are so many stalls that you can't walk down the street without being tempted by something. There are really nice clothes at bargain prices, including Asian clothes, and accessories. It is fairly quiet during the winter, but during the summer there is the Super Saturday every weekend with all sorts of things. You'll find all the usual stalls, but also antiques, clothing stalls, books, as well as street performances, jugglers, stilt walkers, face painting, etc, as well as food that you can smell from a mile away. It is so much fun, just to hang around with mates on a long summer evening, and maybe get your little brother's face painted (he'll love it!). It is really social and it's like a little East End community all in one street.

Its very easy to get to, and it is also near to Mile End Park and Victoria Park, so you could easily spend an evening going for a stroll around the market and then sit in the park for a while. The parks are very peaceful, right next to the canals.
