Compliment

The Boogaloo is a pretty legendary pub on the Archway Road.
Decor is great, lots of nice caricatures of musicians on the walls, and one of the finest jukeboxes in London.
If you go when it's quiet you can enjoy a pint and read a book, and be bothered only by the attentions of the landlord's dog but the Boogaloo is also a legendary music venue and has hosted some brilliant acts. Shane McGowan used to live upstairs I'm told and still pops in for a drink and the odd performance. Pete Doherry has also been known to take the stage here too, it's that kind of place.
The Boogaloo also hosts some of the best pubquizzes in the country. Their music quis was legendary for attracting some real hardcore music geeks (Bernard Butler of Suede used to have his own team) and 'The Bigger Boat film quiz' is a must for anyone who thinks they know anything about the movies (get there early as spaces disappear quickly): http://www.film-quiz.com/.
All in all, a great pub that you should make the effort to visit even if you're nowhere near Archway. There's not many like it left.
