Me too. I use4d to go in every morning for coffee and to read the papers then suddenly, it had a notice up to say closed for maintenance and that was that. Last Friday it had a notice up to say it was relocating to the Bethnal Green end of Brick Lane but the Goswell Road shop has closed too so I suspect the worst. A real shame and I will really miss it.

I used to really like this place. Great coffee and wonderful atmosphere. That’s why I was surprised to see that it closed when I tried to grab a coffee there yesterday. Does anyone know why it shut down? What about the other coffee@ places?
Regards,
A worried customer.

If I’m out near Spitalfields, or Brick Lane, this is my preferred destination to go for coffee. I didn’t realise that they offered wi-fi until I read the other reviews but I love this place because a) they produce great coffee consistently, and b) they just have a bohemian vibe that gives the place plenty of character.

I especially enjoy it when Sunday Up Market is running since there’s even more people around that area, and it’s almost too easy to perch on one of their benches and just watch the world go by.

I'm going to be honest with you all (since that is generally my nature), I'm more of a hot chocolate fanatic than a coffee aficionado, after Gillian McKeith once told me that coffee gives you cellulite and acts as a mild laxative I was put off for life. Saying that, when life demands maximum energy I have been known to pop into this intimate, wi-fi zone coffee house for a quick double espresso to get re-connected with the world. Top tip, ask for extra froth on your hot chocolate for a decadently creamy experience.

A little tight on space and lacking the spacial awareness of other similar offerings on Brick Lane, but good for a quick mid-shopping break, before you head off to the Laden Showrooms laden with thousands of shopping bags you simply can't carry. It is in these circumstances I recommend you invest in a boyfriend/girlfriend, who are also available in Brick Lane for a competitive hourly rate.

I like Coffee@ Brick Lane - free WiFi with your cup of fairtrade java, sofas so deep they can cause back injury attempting to get up, Nick Cave belting in the background, arty types reading the Financial Times and City types reading Vibe Bar jazz show brochures.

Coffee junkies get your fix here.. And don’t worry if you’re accompanied by any of those ’’ooohh I don’t drink coffee’’ types, they serve some pretty good organic juice too.

The sign on the wall says it all - ’’Arrive Happy - Leave Edgy’’ - exactly what I did and do whenever I’m in Brick Lane before 5pm- after which the caffeine fairy turns into a pumpkin.

Perfect little coffee shop.

Great coffee, big selection of other drinks, nice people, free wifi, loads of papers and magazines lying around to read, comfy sofas, great music - always something different playing, yummy food and really chilled out.

This is a small coffee for lazy sundays. There are old sofas that make you feel at home, a large range of different hot drinks are available and according to the season they prepare some special ones like a limited edition.

At the moment and during winter, you can have for example a mokachocaramel coffee with a unique touch which is small chamallows on the top and you can also have chantilly cream too.
This is delicious!

You can also eat snack salted or sweet make your choice. Their salads are nice and their carrot cake is indescribable.

You can also go to check your mails or whatever as they have access to internet but of course you need to pay for it.

During the week it is more quiet than the weekend.

The staff is really really nice and if you are polite you can have more chamallows on your special winter!
