Bad Lambs bills itself as "The Best Little Hairhouse in Bloomsbury" and certainly lives up to that reputation. It may well be one of the best "hairhouses" in London and definitely was one of the most enjoyable haircutting experiences of my life. The place has a great design and while obviously quite up-market and stylish the hairdressers are very friendly and will even let you choose the music by which you lose your locks. I was treated to a two hour session of consultation, washing and cutting while serenaded by The Arcade Fire and Joy Division. The result was one of the best haircuts of my life. Though fairly pricey (the average cut is 43 pounds for a woman and 37 for a man) I would suggest that every once in a while this kind of down to earth soul pampering (without the smarmy spa-treatment stuff of other salons who pretend at a pampering) is worth the price of admission. This is how hairdressers should all be.
