Much better than the previous review suggested. We use Best Western quite a lot, and although this wasn’t the best of their hotels it certainly wasn’t the worst. The staff were polite and helpful, and worked very hard to ensure we got the service we expected. It represented great value for money, both in accommodation and food. The room (18) was on the first floor (no lift here) and was well appointed with everything except a bath. The shower could do with a facelift but the bedroom was clean and recently decorated. bed was comfortable and everything worked ok.
Note that sat nav will take you to the front of the hotel, but best parking is at the rear, accessed from Warwick Place B4099 (bigger spaces)
Special mention to the waiter who manned the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast the next monring, he worked really hard to provide an excellent service.

I think the only way to fix this hotel is to sell it to another company as Best Western simply can not run a hotel. Full stop.
This is just another one of their run down establishments waiting to close I'm afraid. I had just come from a lovely Marriott in Leicester to this horrendous place where i couldnt park and paid the same amount of money for the privilege. The receptionist was frosty, rude, and dressed in casual clothing. The hotel has no real entrance. It's like stepping back in time walking into this place. The family room i paid for only has a sofa and god forbid you come back after 12 and order room service. You will be severely reprimanded (frowned upon) by the night porter as I was. How dare I order food in a hotel.
I had to walk miles to my room and it was pretty clear I was probably the only person in the hotel on a Saturday night. I can't think of a positive thing to say about this hotel. The room overlooked a skip, the window was so rotten that it would not stay open and the tv was about 16 inches and fuzzy. The carpet was dirty as were the bed sheets. No mini bar, fridge, tiles missing in the bathroom and no power whatsoever in the shower.
This is my last ever visit to a best western. I have had enough bad experiences to last a lifetime with this chain.
This could be a lovely hotel in a beautiful town if reopened and ran properly after a refurb.
