Compliment

A quirky, charming bookshop in the heart of King's Cross, featuring an eclectic collection of mainstream fiction and non-fiction, as well as some very hard-to-find stuff. I can always find the transgressive fiction titles that I am looking for, and pick up something new and interesting that I hadn't previously heard of. They have a great selection of journalism and political writing about socialist, anarchist, anti-military, and ecological issues, and the biggest collection of radical periodicals in London, over 200 titles.
The in-house events on Wednesday evenings are cosy and fun and easy to get to after work, just a 2-minute hop from the station. You can have wine and snacks, and listen to journalists, authors and activists speaking about political issues or current events.
Housmans also stock a broad range of high-quality art supplies and have really nice gift-wrapping paper and greeting cards. Pop in and have a little browse.
