Went here on Sunday late afternoon because its one of the only restaurants in the area still open once the market shits (and Roast was closed as well from 3.30pm). I fancied a steak, so I ordered the large Sirloin steak…highly disappointing. Very cheap tasting meat. My dinner/late lunch companion ordered the filet steak which was nicer, but not up to the standards you expect for a good steak restaurant, and at £20 each steak, we expected a lot more. The prawn in garlic butter starter was not bad, but this I would recommend avoiding this place. Its a chain at its worst

Popped into this branch of Black and Blue on a sunny Friday afternoon because it was one of the few places in the area which had some spare tables.

The wine was very nice and the location is spot on, just outside the entrance to Borough Market. We didn’t stay for a proper meal so I can’t give you my verdict on the meat, but we did get peckish and order the chips and nachos which were ok but nothing amazing.

Maybe I should go back for dinner next time I’m in the area, but then again I haven’t tried Roast yet either. Decisions decisions!

This is the second Black & Blue I've been too. This particular one is located right next to the magnificent Borough Market. The restaurant itself is really well designed - very cool blue "approach" lights, cool automatic sliding glass doors, etc.

I ordered the rack of lamb (see attached photo) and it came quickly and was beautifully presented on a chopping board with grilled peppers and a light salad. It was very well prepared and very tasty. My wife was equally impressed with her burger.

The food came promptly, the drinks were good, the service was prompt and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Couple this with the location and you've got a pretty good experience.
